The BioMed Hospital

The BioMed-Hospital Bad Bergzabern is a medical care hospital of the statutory health insurances according to § 108/§109 SGB-V of the german social insurance code.
The costs for an inpatient treatment for citizens of the European Union will be paid by the German statutory health insurance (AOK), if you present the "European certificate E112".
You have to ask your national health insurance in advance of the treatment about this form.

For patients outside the EU, please get in contact with our office, who will be giving you the prices for the treatment.

The BioMed Hospital has 100 beds, single and doublerooms.
Each room has a direct access to an own balcony, telephone, free WLAN internet access, cupboard and a restroom with a a bath and shower.

Alltogether more than 100 employees, psychologist and doctors feel responsible for your concerns, health, treatment and wellbeing.

Medical treatment
Your will receive your dates for medical treatment from the nursing staff in writing on the evening before the treatment.

Meals
You will receive your meals at the following times in the dining room:

House 5
Breakfast: 07:30 - 09:00 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 - 01:00 p.m.
Dinner: 05:00 - 06:00 p.m.

House 8
Breakfast: 07:30 - 09:00 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 - 01:00 p.m.
Dinner: 05:00 - 06:00 p.m.

Cafeteria
Our cafeteria is in House 5.
Here you can meet for a cosy chat and have fresh coffee, fresh juices and cake baked daily between 02:00pm and 05:00pm.

Food
Basically, all meals are to be taken in the dining room. In case of nutritional problems (e.g. incompatibilities or dieting prescriptions), please speak to the kitchen manager or with the nursing staff.

Library
The library is in the lounge in House 8. There you can obtain reading material without formalities. Please return the books after reading them.

Mail
Your personal mail is brought to you Monday to Friday to your room. There is a public mail box in front of the entrance to House 5

Visiting times
We have consciously decided not to have fixed visiting times but please ask your visitors to respect the following rules:

• Be considerate about the needs of other patients.
• Please leave the room during the doctor’s visits
• The Lounge in House 8 as well as the cafeteria in House 5 are available to you at any time.
• Please leave the Clinic by 21:00.
