Does my health insurance pay for the treatment in the BioMed clinic?

The BioMed-Hospital Bad Bergzabern is a medical care hospital of the statutory health insurances according to § 108/§109 SGB-V of the german social insurance code.

The costs for an inpatient treatment for citizens of the European Union will be paid by the German statutory health insurance (AOK), if you present the
"European certificate E112".

You have to ask your national health insurance in advance of the treatment about this form.

If my family is coming with me, can they also stay at the BioMed with me?

In exceptional cases it is possible that a family member can stay with you in your doubleroom.
Please inform us prior to your arrival about this wish, so we can reserve the bed.

There are also many appartments and hotels around and close to the BioMed. Ms. Stadelmann will gladly supply you with the necessary Infos about these.

Things I have to remember before my stay at BioMed Hospital

If you are staying for a treatment at the BioMed Hospital, we will supply you with towels, bathrobe, TV and Telephone. We also offer you a free WLAN access in your room.

  • If you are a EU citizen: Your national health insurance card with the E112 confirmation
  • List of your regulary taken medications (please remember to bring a stock, as we might need to order certain medications)
  • radiograms (also CT, nuclear spin, aso.)
  • Adress and contactnumbers of your family
    personally for yourself
  • casual and comfortable clothes
  • personal toiletries
  • slippers (please make sure they are closed slippers, no sandals if possible)
  • Pyjama (if you have Whole body hyperthermia (WBH) please bring a few PJs to change
  • Underwear
