A guide to the sights around the BioMed Hospital

The City of Bad Bergzabern is a spar town in the Pfalz region of south west Germany (sometimes also called "The Palatinate" in english) which enjoys a particulary healthy climate.
It lies close to the border with France and is known for its wine production - many outstanding red and white wines are produced along the "Deutsche Weinstrasse, the "Germany Wine Route" and is also in close proximity to the "Pfälzerwald", Germanys largest area of uninterrupted forest.

The little spa town therefore nestles between vineyards and areas of mixed forest.
Although with no more than 8000 inhabitants, Bad Bergzabern achieved city status as early as the 13th century and is today an important supply centre for the whole region.

Thanks to its mild climate, even fig, almond and cypress trees flourish here.
